However, it is not only advisable but also necessary that these arable measures are only carried out after consultation with the operator of the agrivoltaic system. In this way, any contradictions that may arise can be clarified and problems avoided. For fertilisation and plant protection measures on the EWS Sonnenfeld®, only the "cultivation mode" with horizontal module table position should be selected.
The application of liquid fertilisers close to the ground, which is already anchored in good agricultural practice - for example by means of a hose, drag shoe and slurry injection - must be carried out exclusively on the cultivation strips between the rows of module tables.

What needs to be considered when liming?

For soil improvement measures that generate dust, such as liming, the "harvesting mode" with maximum clearance height must be selected in order to minimise contamination of the PV modules. On an EWS Sonnenfeld® this means a module table inclination of 70° degrees. This creates a tunnelling effect that keeps the dust on the cultivation area and reduces the spread of dust.
